Here's a unique one - full of character and history! This tote is made from pieces of a vintage military jumpsuit, sourced at an estate sale here in New Orleans. The old herringbone cotton certainly had some significant wear, but also had some awesome character and details. I salvaged the best parts and combined them with the black leather from an outdated woman's jacket. For an extra special touch, I first quilted each piece of leather individually to project a chic contrast against the worn uniform. The result is a new, completely unique tote like no other!
The tote is lined in thick US army tent canvas and has two interior pockets (the exterior pocket is not functional). The thin handles hang from industrial gun-metal grommets. The metal buttons on the fabric are original to the jumpsuit. The bag is a bit on the large side (note measurements below), and also has a sturdy base. (Note: Although reinforced internally, the green jumpsuit fabric is definitely still vintage. It shows signs of wear, history, and use. If you are really rough on your bags, this one may not be for you. Good for moderate hauling and toting - not super heavyweight items).
