Here's a unique tote full of history and unique design features. This originally was a vintage Emanuel Ungaro black and ivory white striped suit! The suit was sourced at an estate sale in New Orleans and once belonged to a prominent and well-heeled socialite in the area. It was a fabulous suit, but was stained all over and had small holes here and there - not to mention it was outdated in style! But parts of it were still fabulous and were calling for a new life. So, the prized designer suit was laundered, dismantled, and re-pieced back together with parts of a pair of black leather pants to create this new fabulous tote!
The tote is on the large size (see dimensions below), but it is lightweight. The striped suiting material content is unknown (perhaps a poly blend?), and leather is soft to the touch. The bag is very comfortable and easy to carry. There are two exterior pockets (one on each side) each just large enough for a phone, and there are 3 more interior pockets (one made from the striped suiting). The interior is made from the canvas of a US Army tent, and also boasts the original Ungaro label (along with the Uptown Redesigns label). It has a magnetic snap closure.
This is "an original" for sure! Carry this and you'll be carrying a suit that has seen many New Orleans parties and events! You'll also be carrying a piece of design history with that Ungaro label.
Classic black and white - you can't go wrong!
